Mission

Urbane Coffee was founded in 2017 to share a passion for great coffee and community with you. The specialty coffee scene in Sacramento is growing but I know that feeling when you are invited to an event or wedding and you know that the coffee will be sub par. And that's why I'm here: to bring the specialty cafe experience to you. There's nothing like sharing a hand crafted coffee with the people you care about. After all, great coffee is meant to be shared.

About

A little background: My coffee journey started in 2010 when a friend showed me the barista's side of an espresso machine. The process was so intriguing and complex that I had to know more. I ended up volunteering for the coffee team at a church and loved every second of it. Moving to Washington for school, I again found a way to fuel my desire to learn. The school coffee shop where I volunteered got coffee from a roastery that was walking distance from there. While I studied (and stayed caffeinated) I was able to visit the roaster and bombarded him with questions. After moving back to Sacramento, to get married, I found the best local roaster to work for and continue to expand my knowledge and passion for refined excellence in coffee. And that is where the word Urbane comes in. Polished, refined, cultured, suave; these are what it means to be urbane. When society as a whole was in transition between rural and urban, these people that were in the cities had an air of elegance about them that coined the description urbane. These are what I strive for in the company: refined excellence. To have an urbane approach to a high level of service. Allow me to serve you.
